At last, Olin has captured his prize. Or, so he believes.
Althea has not gone to Matriel as a martyr. She has gone with intent; the moves on her chessboard planned. All prepared to check the king. To rip out the society he’s built, root and stem. Her armies, and her court are coming for her.
While Lina and Sione work to garner an invaluable ally to their cause, the rest travel through Eshelle, towards their High Queen. Her friends and family are single-minded in their journey, none more so than her mate.
Well, perhaps one.
Adathan and Atlas have been adversaries from the start. But, fate did not give gentle beginnings to many of its pairings. Perhaps the gods designed each of their middles with intent.
